The Hawaii Science and Technology Museum invests heavily in R&D to look for ways to expand the Hawaii Island economy and create a STEM Workforce Development Pipeline. HSTM also supports research projects to give students hands-on experience in using the scientific method to develop hypotheses, conduct experiments, reach conclusions based on the data collected and present their findings to the public.
