The Kenyan K. Beals Community Robotics Center is a joint project between Hawaii science and technology Museum and Mokupapapa Discovery center. Located on the top floor of 76 Kamehameha Ave, this STEM education center aims to share our love of robotics with students and help new teams and coaches get started with the resources and information they need.
Exhibit Hall
Open every Saturday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Hawaii Science and Technology Museum provides STEM based exhibits for the public as a part of our STEM Literacy Program in partnership with the Hawaii State Library System and local schools.
Science Nights
Our team goes to one elementary school each month and puts on a huge science to bring students, parents, teachers together for a night of educational fun. We've built a vast network of STEM industry partners to help get our kids excited about science all across the community. A typical school event brings 300-400 people.
Research & Development
The Hawaii Science and Technology Museum invests heavily in R&D to look for ways to expand the Hawaii Island economy and create a STEM Workforce Development Pipeline. HSTM also supports research projects to give students hands-on scientific experience.

Na Kama O Kalai Wa’a
Our traditional Hawaiian Canoe Carving program led by Kalai Wa'a Alika Bumatay. Alika is one of the last remaining Hawaiian canoe carvers and our goal for this program has been to perpetuate this art form before it is lost. Our team goes around the state helping to repair historical koa canoes and we also go around Hawaii island teaching kids how to carve Hawaiian canoes

Science Camps
HSTM hosts science camps for students K-12. Our goal is to introduce our keiki to STEM from an early age and create a spark of interest and wonder. Some notable camps include our Fall Break STEAM camp with a wizarding world theme, cybersecurity camp in partnership with GenCyber Hawaii, Women's STARS Camp in partnership with the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems, and more!
